The Zambia Under-16 national team is heading to Georgia to participate in a week-long UEFA International Developmental Tournament.
A 20-member team has been camped in Lusaka ahead of the four-nation junior event that will be held in Rustavi from May 10-17.
“The selection process has been smooth and we currently have 20 players in camp and training has been going on well. I can clearly say that the boys are ready for the task ahead,” Zambia U16 national team assistant coach Aaron Kawangu said.
“It is good exposure for our boys and we are trying to ensure that at this grassroots stage that our boys are focused on development and doing the right thing.
“The most important thing here is they develop to become great players for the nation in the near future.”
Zambia will battle for honours against Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan and hosts Georgia.
