Zanaco on Wednesday revived their top four hopes after beating Kafue Celtic 1-0 away in a rescheduled FAZ Super League Week 29 fixture played at Edwin Emboela Stadium in Lusaka.

The 2020/2021 FAZ Super League runners-up victory over the top-flight newcomers saw Zanaco leap from tenth to sixth on the log.

Striker Moses Phiri scored Zanaco’s winner in the 13th minute that saw him move one goal behind top scorer Friday Samu, formerly of Green Buffaloes and now of Maritzburg United in South Africa, with four games left before the 2021/2022 Golden Boot race ends.

Zanaco are tied on 42 points with fifth placed Power Dynamos and number six team Buildcon but The Bankers have a game in hand.

The victory now puts Zanaco three points behind Nkana who occupy the final top four spot.

Meanwhile,Celtic are 16th on 29 points inside the bottom four relegation zone with four games left in which to ensure their top-flight survival for another season.
