Red Arrows have restored their four point lead at the summit of the FAZ Super League table following a 2-1 away win over Forest Rangers on Sunday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

But Arrows had to fight their way from one-down into the opening thirty minutes of the first half to later secure the three points after the break.

Ex-Chipolopolo striker Clifford Mulenga put Forest ahead in the 31st minute to score his sixth goal of the season for the Ndola club.

But Forest’s lead lasted just three minutes when Fred Tshimenga equalized after some good buildup work by Benedict Chepeshi and Saddam Phiri.

Arrows left it late to seal the three points and got the winner in the 79th minute through Twiza Chaibela.

The Airmen move to 49 points to restore their significant lead over second placed Green Eagles who have 45 points while defending champions Zesco United are third on 44 points with nine games left before the 2021/2022 FAZ Super League title is decided.

Forest stay put at number 12 where they sit on 31 points with just one win out of six matches played since the start of 2022 in which period they have drawn three and lost two games.
