Chipolopolo’s European-based stars returned to domestic action over the weekend after the September FIFA international break.

In England, Chipolopolo midfielder Enock Mwepu did not make the Brighton team on September 11 for the fifth placed clubs’ 1-0 away win over number 10 side Brentford.

On the same day at King Power Stadium, striker Patson Daka was an unused substitute during ninth positioned Leicester City’s 1-0 home loss to the fourth placed and defending league champions Manchester City.

Across the northern border in Scotland, striker Fashion Sakala’s gradual return to competitive action continued on Saturday.

Fashion came on in the 79th minute for champions Glasgow Rangers in a 2-1 away victory over St Johnstone.

The Zambian striker was not on target for the current league leaders win over eighth placed St Johnstone.

It was Fashion’s second successive game since returning from a three-week injury layoff on August 28 when he played in the final six minutes of Rangers’ 1-0 Old Firm Derby home victory over Celtic before the FIFA international break.

On Sunday in Denmark, Chipolopolo midfielder Lubambo Musonda came on in the 61nd minute for Danish second division side AC Horsens’ 3-1 home loss to Fredericia.

Lubambo was not on target in the fifth placed sides’ home loss to their second positioned guests.

On the same day in Sweden, striker Edward Chilufya scored league leaders Djurgardens final goal in the 74th minute of their 4-1 home win over sixth positioned Hammarby.

Chilufya was substituted in the 88th minute after scoring his fourth league goal of the season while compatriot and midfielder Emmanuel Banda came on in the 77th minute.
